AusWHO 2014 Conference
Date: March 28, 2014
Location: Alfred Centre, Prahran
The inaugural Australian World Health Organization Simulation (AusWHO) is an annual three-day conference in Melbourne where university students from all disciplines will tackle a global health issue as a representative of a United Nations member state, pharmaceutical company or non-governmental organisation. Over the weekend, delegates will collaborate to build resolutions during plenary and regional sessions, requiring negotiation, strategy and overarching cooperation.
AusWHO is part of a transnational project that aims to familiarise students with the processes of the World Health Organization by allowing them to play a first-hand role in creating global health policy. Join us for a thrilling weekend of intellectual discourse, new friends, and the chance to get up close and personal with one of the greatest global health issues facing us today.
The Melbourne University Health Initiative has launched the Australian version of a simulation of the WHO World Health Assembly called “AusWHO”
